Call for evidence on scientific assessment of occupational exposure limits (OELs) of Cobalt

ECHA is launching a call for evidence to support the development of a scientific report on health-based exposure limits at the workplace for Cobalt. The scientific report will include possible proposals for occupational exposure limits (OEL(s)), biological limit value(s), health surveillance measures and/or appropriate notations.

Calls for evidence allow interested parties to signal their interest and express their views and concerns in the preparatory phase of drafting the scientific report.

The Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) will develop its opinion on the basis of the scientific report. During the preparation of RAC’s opinion, the scientific report will be further aligned and developed as a Background Document. The Background Document supports the opinion of the RAC and gives the detailed grounds for the opinion.

Please note that while your views are important to us, your contribution should be supported with references and reliable data (facts and figures) of an evidential nature for consideration.
